Gillian Gorge
I am running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with Fred's Team, the official running program of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, for my mom.
I ran my first marathon in November 2024 for my dad, and it was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. In the spring of 2025, my mom was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer—cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer).
I’m running this year’s race in honor of my mom—someone who is truly selfless and has spent her entire life caring for others, and for my dad, because if he were able to, he would be running alongside me.
The funds I raise will go directly toward critical research for cholangiocarcinoma, a cancer that is almost always found in late stages, and finding a cure depends on this critical research. Every dollar supports groundbreaking research to find better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
My goal is to raise as much as possible to support this mission. Your donation not only fuels that research, but also motivates me through every mile of training and on race day.
Thank you so much for your support—it truly means everything to me and my family.
100% of Your Donation Supports Research
Named in honor of New York City Marathon co-founder and MSK patient Fred Lebow, Fred’s Team brings together passionate runners and supporters to lead the way against cancer. 100% of the funds I raise will go directly into MSK labs, where doctors and scientists have expertise in more than 400 types of cancer and work every day to find new cures.
Donate Today!
When you make a gift to Fred’s Team, you help MSK researchers develop better treatment options for the people who need them most. Together, we can make a big difference.
