Matthew Newton
Welcome to my fundraising page! I’m taking on the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with Fred’s Team, the official running program of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK).
I am dedicating my run this year to the memory of my cousin Ryan M. Hurley, who passed away this past April at far too early an age due to cancer. He was a wildly successful businessman, as well as a dedicated and much-loved father, husband, brother, cousin, and friend. In his free time he loved hunting and fishing off the coast of Florida and in the American West.
In 2021 a very close family member of mine was treated at MSK with ten months of chemo and a month of radiation therapy. Thanks to the spectacular doctors, nurses, and staff at MSK, they are thankfully cancer-free for over 5 years.
My goal is to raise as much as I can to support groundbreaking cancer research at MSK, and your donation will give me a boost as I train for my race.
100% of Your Donation Supports Research
Named in honor of New York City Marathon co-founder and MSK patient Fred Lebow, Fred’s Team brings together passionate runners and supporters to lead the way against cancer. 100% of the funds I raise will go directly into MSK labs, where doctors and scientists have expertise in more than 400 types of cancer and work every day to find new cures.
Donate Today!
When you make a gift to Fred’s Team, you help MSK researchers develop better treatment options for the people who need them most. Together, we can make a big difference.
Thank you for your generosity!
