Welcome to my fundraising page! I’m taking on the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with Fred’s Team, the official running program of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). This will be my fifth marathon and second year running with Fred's Team. My goal is to raise as much as I can to support groundbreaking cancer research at MSK, and your donation will give me a boost as I train for my race.

Why I Run

Cancer has shaped my family’s story in a deeply personal way. I lost my grandmother to late-stage liver cancer two years ago, my grandaunt to pancreatic cancer when I was in middle school, and my grandfather to colon cancer when I was very young. These losses have strengthened my commitment to supporting cancer research and care.

Running the NYC Marathon with Fred’s Team last year was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Training, fundraising, and standing at the start line alongside survivors, families, and fellow runners showed me how many of us are connected by both loss and hope. Hearing from physicians and researchers made clear that each dollar raised helps advance new treatments and support patients and families.

At Duke, I study biology and economics and conducted research in the Bissig Lab at the medical school, where we developed experimental therapies for liver diseases, including liver cancer. This work has given me firsthand insight into the challenges and possibilities in cancer research and has shaped my long-term commitment to improving treatment and access to care.

Outside of school, running has taught me discipline and resilience, and Fred’s Team allows me to connect that personal growth with a cause that matters deeply to me. As I move to New York after graduation, I look forward to continuing as part of this community and supporting research that brings hope to families like mine.
