Rich Prest
I'm turning 60 this year, and I'm planning to run the New York City Marathon in November — not just to prove something to myself, but to do something for others.
The last few years have humbled me with injuries that made me wonder if my best running days were behind me. Every time I felt sorry for myself, I was reminded nothing I've been through comes close to what people fighting cancer face every single day.
When Mikey asked me to join Fred's Team, I knew instantly it was the right challenge for this year. I've spent the last 20+ years in life sciences, and I know how much research funding matters and how directly it can move the needle on treatment. 100% of what you give goes straight into MSK labs — no overhead skimmed off the top.
My goal is $6,000. That's $100 for every year I've been blessed with. If you can contribute — any amount — you'll be part of something real.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
