This November, I’m running the 2026 NYC Marathon with Fred’s Team to raise $15,000 for critical cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK). I’m dedicating every mile to my close friend Andrew.

Andrew’s Journey

Diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2020, Andrew has faced every step of this path with incredible grace and positivity. He is a true inspiration to everyone who knows him.

A milestone that stands out to all of us is when he completed the MASSIV ruta—a challenging 350-kilometer trek through the Norwegian mountains—becoming the first Australian living with brain cancer to do so. It was a powerful testament to his resilience and his determination to live life to the fullest.

The Path Ahead

While Andrew’s spirit is unmatched, his journey is ongoing. Funding has allowed him to access innovative new medications on trial, but the fight continues. He is currently preparing for his next major step—a second surgery scheduled for this June.

As Andrew faces this next chapter, I am taking on 26.2 miles to honor his strength. His unwavering positivity is what will carry me through months of training and across the finish line in Central Park.
