Cancer is something my family has lived alongside for a long time. I was 12 when my Aunt Jamie was diagnosed, and watching her fight was the first time I really understood how much this disease asks of the people fighting it. That stuck with me, and this year I'm finally doing something about it that I've wanted to do for a while: running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with Fred's Team to raise money for pediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK). I'm running it alongside my dad and my brother Aden, and taking on 26.2 miles together, my first marathon, makes it mean even more.
We chose to focus on pediatric cancer because there's something especially hard about a kid having to face a fight like this, and because the research genuinely moves the needle. Fred's Team has been working toward a world without cancer since 1995, and 100% of what we raise goes directly into MSK's labs. Their doctors and scientists work on more than 400 types of cancer, building better treatments and searching for cures — for the patients, including the youngest ones, who need them most.
As a family, our goal is to raise $23,500, and I'd be so grateful for your help getting there. If you're able to give, truly any amount helps. it all adds up, and your support goes directly to the research that gives kids a fighting chance. Thank you so much for supporting me, my family, and this mission that means so much to us. It means more to me than I can say.
Warmly,
Goal
