Welcome to my fundraising page! I’m taking on the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with Fred’s Team, the official running program of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). My goal is to raise as much as I can to support groundbreaking cancer research at MSK, and your donation will give me a boost as I train for my race.

Cancer touches all of us in some way-whether it’s a family member, a friend, a colleague, or your own personal journey. My late grandmother, also known as “Mimi” and “Grandma Pat” by her 11 grandchildren, was a former patient at MSK. Decades after she underwent surgery to successfully remove a cancerous growth from her breast, she learned the cancer had returned, much stronger, and expansive than before. Thus, our family turned to Memorial Sloan Kettering as she navigated this battle with courage, strength, and grace. The team at MSK looked at my Mimi as more than a diagnosis or patient; they looked at her as a person. Thanks to their compassionate, kind, and dedicated team, we had an extra six years with my Mimi before she passed away.

After she passed, I started running as a way to cope with her loss. What began as an outlet gradually became something much more meaningful. Running gave me discipline, clarity, and a sense of connection to her memory. Over time, every mile became a reminder of her resilience and the fight she endured. It helped me turn grief into purpose.

Running with Fred’s Team is more than an honorable opportunity; it’s a personal mission for me. The mission for me is to provide families with what the team at Memorial Sloan Kettering gave my family: more time. In addition to the team at Memorial Sloan Kettering, I credit the extra time I had with Mimi to those who donate toward cancer research and patient care efforts. Fundraising and running in support of these causes gives every step a deeper meaning. Every donation, no matter how big or small, brings us one step closer to fulfilling this mission for all families impacted by cancer.
