We’re running the NYCRuns Brooklyn Half Marathon for Gianna “Gigi” Ambrosio, who started as a little sister’s best friend and became our chosen family. Gigi was fearless, radiant, and unforgettable, filling every room with light and leaving a lasting mark on everyone she met. She fought sarcoma four times, facing each battle with grit, grace, and joy beyond her years. Though cancer took her at just 19 in June 2025, Gigi’s impact is immeasurable and her spirit lives on through all of us who loved her. We’re running with Fred’s Team at Memorial Sloan Kettering to raise funds for sarcoma cancer research, so other families may have more time, more hope, and more moments with their Gigi.
