Let’s Imagine a World Without Cancer
Welcome to the Bloomberg 1000 team’s fundraising page!
We’re taking on the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with Fred’s Team, the official running program of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK)
Our goal is to raise as much as we can to support groundbreaking cancer research at MSK, and your donation will give us a boost as we train for our race
Why We Run: The Bloomberg 1000 We are a diverse group of engineers, accountants, HR professionals, salespeople, and lawyers who share one powerful connection: the commitment to fight back against this awful disease
We are running for the Bloomberg 1000—the more than 1,000 colleagues at Bloomberg LP and their direct family members who are currently battling cancer
The statistics are sobering: one in two men and one in three women will face some form of cancer in their lifetime, meaning this disease affects all of us
Running this race is our way of affirming life, refusing to ever give up, and fighting back the only way we know how
100% of Your Donation Supports Research
Named in honor of New York City Marathon co-founder and MSK patient Fred Lebow, Fred’s Team brings together passionate runners and supporters to lead the way against cancer
Over the last four years, our team has raised over $2 million for cancer research
100% of the funds we raise go directly into MSK labs, where doctors and scientists have expertise in more than 400 types of cancer and work every day to find new cures
Join the Fight!
When you make a gift to Fred’s Team, you help MSK researchers develop new treatment options for the people who need them most
Together, we can make a big difference and send a clear message to "Crush Cancer!"
Thank you for your generosity!
Someday we’ll have a world without cancer, but until then our team will keep running!!
