Josh 4 Gig
I’m running this half marathon for Gianna “Gigi” Ambrosio, who started as my best friend’s little sister’s best friend, but grew into someone I considered family. She became our chosen family, our little sister in every way that mattered.
Gigi was fearless and strong, the kind of person who filled every room with light and left a piece of herself with everyone she met.
She fought sarcoma four times. She was only 19 years old when cancer finally took her from us in June 2025, but not before showing us what true grit, grace, and joy look like in the face of unimaginable odds.
Gigi changed our lives forever. She gave everything she had to keep fighting, to keep living, to keep being the light we all needed. Now she’s sitting in the biggest seat in heaven with her dad and grandma, and we’re down here running to say a big F YOU to cancer.
Why This Matters
Every time Gigi beat cancer, Josh wine was her favorite thing to cheers to. Through it all, she kept that bright smile on her face, just like the fighter she was. She deserved everything and more. She gave her all to keep going, and now it’s our turn to give our all for her.
I’m running with Fred’s Team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center because 100% of funds raised go directly to MSK labs, where doctors and scientists work on more than 400 types of cancer. Every dollar helps ensure other families don’t have to say goodbye to their Gigi.
This run isn’t just about raising money. It’s about sharing a piece of Gigi with the world and carrying forward the joy she brought to every happy and difficult moment. Those who knew Gigi know she lived with relentless positivity and made sure everyone around her was laughing too.
Please help us honor Gigi’s fight and say F you to cancer. Thank you for your generosity. Every donation means the world to her family and helps keep Gigi’s light shining.
