Please join me in supporting critical lung cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering. I am deeply connected to this cause through a family member’s recent diagnosis.
Each year, more people in the US die of lung cancer than colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined. In 2026, lung cancer will account for an estimated 124,990 deaths…nearly three times the deaths of colorectal cancer, the second most prevalent cancer. However, this narrative is rapidly changing. Over the last decade, lung cancer mortality rates have fallen faster than almost any other cancer, driven by a wave of new precision treatments. For patients whose cancer can be targeted at the molecular level, these therapies have transformed a prognosis once measured in months into one measured in decades.
By giving, you are directly supporting a world-class oncologist at MSK who is leading this exact breakthrough research. Dr. Alex Drilon and his team are bringing multiple generations of targeted therapies to patients and are currently leading clinical trials for the next frontier of life-prolonging drugs. He is turning a terminal diagnosis into a chronic one.
On November 1st, I'll run the NYC Marathon for MSK’s Fred's Team. I'm aiming to raise $100,000 for Dr. Drilon's work. Every dollar moves us closer and funds the research that will prolong the life of somebody I love. Whether it's a dollar per mile or whatever feels right to you, I'd be honored for your support.
Best,
Justin
