Join us for an enchanting evening of music and philanthropy as the Viennese Opera Ball (VOB) Junior Committee proudly presents Voices of Vienna.

This special event aims to support Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, with all proceeds going to the Food to Overcome Outcome Disparities (FOOD) Program, providing nourishing meals to cancer patients and their families.

Our program highlights the shared history of Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven, three giants of the classical era who each chose Vienna as their home and primary stage. By bringing their works to life, we celebrate the city’s enduring identity as the seminal heart of musical innovation and the backdrop where these composers lived and perfected their craft. We invite you to experience this rich Viennese legacy in an evening that pairs artistic excellence with a meaningful commitment to the MSK FOOD Program.

Cost: $50 minimum donation per ticket. 100% of proceeds will go towards charity.
Location: Private Venue, Chelsea NY. The exact location will be shared after registering for your ticket.
Attire: Cocktail Dress.

About the Artists

Clara Regina Heupgen, Soprano - www.claraheupgen.com

Clara Regina Heupgen studied at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts as well as at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. She gained further artistic inspiration through masterclasses with renowned personalities such as Prof. Juliane Banse, soprano Chen Reiss, Prof. Wolfgang Holzmair, Prof. Christiane Iven, Andreas Scholl, Gregory Lamar and Dame Emma Kirkby.Highlights of her solo concert career in the past season included performing the soprano part in Bach's St. Matthew Passion on Good Friday in the Herkulessaal in Munich under Christian Kabitz, participation in the Hidalgo Music Festival, a concert version of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas with the Baroque orchestra La Banda, and a concert tour to Brazil with the Orquestra Sinfônica do Recife, where Clara performed songs from Mahler's Des Knaben Wunderhorn.

Her academic foundation includes a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Elementary Music and Dance Pedagogy. She applies this knowledge in various voluntary music theatre projects in Romania. As a co-founder of the artist collective EnvironMental Arts, she is also committed to artistic exploration of sustainability and mental health.

Philip Huber, Piano 

Philip Huber (Germany) is a pianist, Lied accompanist, singer, and organist. He received his training in piano, organ, and improvisation under the guidance of Gianfranco Sannicandro, André Gold, Stephan Heuberger, Prof. Franz Josef Stoiber, Dr. Martin Gregorius and Prof. Martin Sander. He is a multiple prizewinner of national and international competitions, including First Prize at Jugend musiziert (federal level) in the categories piano solo and art song, as well as awards at prima la musica, the Henle Piano Competition, and the Steinway Special Prize for outstanding achievement in piano four-hands. Philip Huber is a member of the Club of Young Pianists Munich and has given performances with Live Music Now Salzburg, as well as at the 20th anniversary of Mozart’s Residence in Salzburg, where he performed on Mozart’s original fortepiano. He has appeared in concert series and festivals such as Mozart Week Salzburg, the Salzburg Festival, Toujours Mozart Festival Salzburg, the Weinberg Festival Salzburg (including performances alongside Gidon Kremer), and WKK Waldsassen. As a soloist, he has performed piano concertos with ensembles including the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic Orchestra, JSO Tulln, and the Kaunas Symphony Orchestra. His concert activity has taken him to Lithuania, Italy, Russia, and Austria. His artistic focus includes organ improvisation, particularly the modes of Olivier Messiaen, as well as contemporary music and world premieres, in part with recording by BR Radio. He has also engaged in scholarly and artistic exploration of the works of Mieczysaw Weinberg, on which he gave an interview for ORF Radio. Philip Huber is a scholarship recipient of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and has further developed his artistic profile through participation in numerous masterclasses.

About MSK's FOOD Program

Proceeds from this concert will benefit MSK's Food to Overcome Outcome Disparities (FOOD) Program, which addresses food insecurity among cancer patients and their families. Since 2011, the program has distributed over 400,000 nourishing meals across 13 cancer treatment sites, offering culturally appropriate and medically tailored food to those in need.

With expertise in over 400 cancer types and nearly 2,000 clinical trials underway at a given time, MSK is making a massive difference in the lives of people everywhere with cancer. MSK physician-scientists are committed to discovering new ways to prevent, detect, treat, and cure all forms of the disease.

About the Viennese Opera Ball

The Viennese Opera Ball is an annual charity gala celebrating the cultural and economic ties between Austria and America. Founded by Austrian immigrants 70 years ago, it pays tribute to both Vienna and New York, embodying a glamorous fusion of two cultures. The Junior Committee of VOB is the organizer of this charity event.
