The Weston Against Cancer Committee proudly supports Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center!

To give some background about this committee, the leaders (and many committee members) were members of past years’ Relay For Life committees. The American Cancer Society changed the structure of its organization and wanted to reduce overhead costs so that a higher percentage of money could go towards research; as a result, unfortunately, they could no longer support as many Relay events, and Weston’s (while profitable) no longer fit in the ACS budget. Instead of stopping there, though, we have formed a new committee to create a fresh, new event. Now in its fifth annual year, Weston Against Cancer has raised over $40,000 and held 30+ fundraising events, and has a rising presence in the Weston community.

This year we hope not only to raise money with the help of our dedicated club members but also raise awareness for cancer research through a school based event.
