6th Annual Eric Nadeau Golf Tournament
As we have for the last 5 tournaments, we have created this page to help raise funds for Cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering, a very important cause that Eric was running the New York Marathon for before his sudden passing. We hope you will consider joining us in donating in Eric's memory. At our last tournament, held in May 2022, we pulled together and crushed it by raising $26,488.00 up from the $20,845.00 we raised the prior year before the 2 year Pandemic hiatus. Over the past 5 tournaments due to your passion and generosity, we have raised just over $78,000.00 for the cause. This year our goal is to crush it again by raising $25,000.00 and surpass the $100,000.00 donation mark!!!
As many of you know, Eric lived his life to the fullest and never settled for anything less than excellence. He worked hard and played harder, loved his family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
As one of his very close friends once said, Eric was one of the most competitive people he had ever met and his desire to have fun was infectious, we are privileged to have been part of the Championship he called life.
Let's embrace this passion for life by doing our part in helping to make a difference to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. This year, as with the last tournament, we have chosen that all funds raised will be directed to Memorial Sloan Kettering's COVID-19 Research and Innovation Fund. Here is a brief overview of the fund:
The MSK COVID-19 Research and Innovation Fund will support MSK’s research efforts to improve diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of COVID-19. Researchers are working to validate a blood test that would indicate past COVID-19 infection. Such a test would help clinicians both to care for patients with suspected infection and to understand their own risk of infection. Additionally, funds will be allocated to expand MSK’s initiatives in telemedicine: providing appropriate cancer care to patients at home will help limit their exposure to the virus.
Too many of us know people who have faced a cancer diagnosis and sometimes it's hard to know how we can make a difference. One of the most effective ways to help is to make sure the crucial work being done at Memorial Sloan Kettering continues to have the support that will drive it forward, especially now more than ever.
Please join us, as Eric would say, in CRUSHING our goal to make a difference!!!
Many Thanks,
The Nadeau Family and Friends
