For the first time ever, the Terry Fox Run, an international event honoring Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope, is coming to Silicon Valley!

On September 17th, we will gather at the Baylands Nature Preserve for a 5K run/walk event. This is not just any event, but our collective stride towards a future without the fear of cancer. We will be raising funds for the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), a world-leading institution in groundbreaking cancer research and treatment.

Here's what you need to know:

• Registration starts at 9:30 AM at our meeting point, the Baylands Athletic Center - 1900 Geng Rd, Palo Alto, CA 94303.
• The 5K run/walk starts promptly at 10 AM.
• We project the end time to be 2:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to run, walk, cheer, and participate in this community event.

By taking part, you're running not only for yourself but also for everyone whose life has been touched by cancer. You're running in memory of Terry Fox, who, despite having his leg amputated due to cancer, set out on an inspiring cross-Canada run in 1980 to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.

Every step you take, every dollar you donate, brings us closer to the next breakthrough in cancer research. This is our chance to make history, and when that breakthrough is announced, we can all be proud to say that we had a part in it.
