I'm very excited to be running with Fred's Team for the 6th time supporting research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in honor of my younger sister Kelly who passed away at the age of 18 in 2014 at MSKCC after a 12+ year struggle with cancer.

This year I am excited to be back running the NYC Marathon for the 5th time with Fred's Team, after mixing it up last year with the Newport Rhode Island Marathon with Fred's Team. To date thanks to very generous friends and family, over $28k has been raised in Kelly's name with Fred's Team!! The funds have contributed to cutting edge breakthroughs in cancer research saving countless lives today and in the future. It is incredibly rewarding to know that the efforts of all Fred's Team runners have supported such amazing outcomes.

During every marathon I think of the fact that no matter the circumstances, Kelly always found a way to live life to the fullest and inspire those around her to fully enjoy each day. Her laughter was contagious and her smile was always bright, regardless of the circumstances. I think of Kelly's favorite quote while running, "Courage isn't having the strength to go on - it's going on when you don't have the strength, which reminds me of her unwavering dedication to pursuing her dreams, maintaining optimism, and putting others before herself. Kelly has always been my role model and my best friend. Thank you all for your amazing support!
