Elizabeth Wong
Family & Friends:
This November, I am taking on the NYC Marathon for the fourth time with Fred’s Team, raising vital funds for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). This year’s walk will be deeply personal, incredibly meaningful, and bittersweet.
I am walking as a proud member of Team Check Your Colon. Our sub-team was started last year by my dear friend and our captain, Liz Healy. Bravely, Liz lost her battle with colon cancer this year along with our cherished marathon teammate, Markham Rollins IV. This is my why which gives me the purpose to turn grief into life-saving action.
I am dedicating every single one of my 26.2 miles to Liz, Markham, and everyone currently fighting this disease.
I know times are tough right now, and financial circumstances are impacting everyone. If you are in a position to donate, please know that any amount makes a massive difference for MSKCC's research and patient care—and it will give me a huge mental and emotional boost as I make my final way to the finish line.
If you cannot donate right now, you can still make a lifesaving impact. Please consider:
Sharing my fundraising page with your network to help spread the word.
Scheduling your colonoscopy or reminding a loved one to get screened. Early detection saves lives.
Thank you so much for your support, your love, and for helping me honor Liz and Markham.

100% of Your Donation Supports Research
Named in honor of New York City Marathon co-founder and MSK patient Fred Lebow, Fred’s Team brings together passionate runners and supporters to lead the way against cancer. 100% of the funds I raise will go directly into MSK labs, where doctors and scientists have expertise in more than 400 types of cancer and work every day to find new cures.
Donate Today!
When you make a gift to Fred’s Team, you help MSK researchers develop better treatment options for the people who need them most. Together, we can make a big difference.
Thank you for your generosity!
