Kristyn Notholt
On February 1st 2025, just shy of my 33rd Birthday, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
In that moment, everything felt uncertain.
Questions raced through my mind faster than I could process them. Would I be okay? How do I even begin to tell the people I love? What does my life look like now?
What followed was overwhelming: appointments, phone calls, and so many unknowns. It felt like my world had been turned upside down overnight.
But I wasn’t alone.
My family, friends, and co-workers became my strength when I didn’t have any left. And the team at MSK became something even more than doctors and nurses, they became my lifeline.
At MSK’s Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center, I found not just world-class care, but compassion, encouragement, and hope. Dr. Goldfarb, Britni, Emily, Alanna, Jamie, and the rest of the staff stood beside me every step of the way. They lifted me up on the hardest days, celebrated the small wins, and reminded me to keep going when it felt impossible.
They weren’t just my medical team.
They were my support system. My cheerleaders. My friends.
Over a year later I am now cancer free.
This November, I will have completed both my surgeries and my chemotherapy treatment, and I will be taking on the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with Fred’s Team, the official running program of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK).
The funds I raise will support MSK’s Young Women with Breast Cancer program, helping provide care, research, and support to those who need it most.
If you’re able, please consider donating. No amount is too small. Truly. Every dollar helps change someone’s story.
And if you can’t donate, your encouragement, your support, and your love mean just as much.
Thank you for being part of my journey.
I hope to see you on November 1st.
