Stephanie McGrogan
Welcome to my fundraising page! I’m taking on the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with Fred’s Team, the official running program of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). My goal is to raise as much as I can to support groundbreaking cancer research at MSK, and your donation will give me a boost as I train for my race.
100% of Your Donation Supports Research
Named in honor of New York City Marathon co-founder and MSK patient Fred Lebow, Fred’s Team brings together passionate runners and supporters to lead the way against cancer. 100% of the funds I raise will go directly into MSK labs, where doctors and scientists have expertise in more than 400 types of cancer and work every day to find new cures.
My story:
Last September started with a routine doctor’s visit, and ended with a five-hour abdominal surgery and an unexpected cancer diagnosis. Given my family history, I had always figured cancer would be in my cards, but I never thought it would be so soon.
I got lucky in a lot of ways, and one of those ways was being located within driving distance of literally one of the best cancer care facilities on the planet. While my primary doctor dismissed my concerns, MSK took on my case and actually listened to me.
I’m on the other side of treatment, in remission, and I told myself when I got here that if I could put one foot in front of the other, I could run a marathon. Recently I got one of the best emails that I could get: I’m running in NYC this year and fundraising for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center!
I have a minimum fundraising goal to meet, but I *know* I can exceed it. It means a lot to me to be able to give back, and I can’t wait to share some happy updates!
