My name is Kendall Messler, and I’m running the 2026 NYC Marathon to support The Scarlett Fund! A cause that’s deeply personal to me. Some people come into your life and change it forever. Scarlett is one of those people for me. I first met her when I was in 7th grade, and from the moment I took her under my wing, she felt like the little sister I never had. Watching her grow, guiding her through school, and being a small part of her journey has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. Now it’s my turn to show up for her — and I’m doing it one mile at a time. On race day, every step I take through the streets of New York City will be for Scarlett and every family that Scarlett’s Fund supports.
