Benjamin Klein
In the fall of 2021, as I was beginning my freshman year at Wake Forest, my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. While the prospects were dark and hope seemed fleeting, the men and women at MSK got to work. Thanks to the incredible staff there, especially Dr. Andrea Cercek, he has now been cancer-free for over three years.
I'm running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with Fred's Team, the official running program of MSK, to give back to the place that gave my family so much. Every mile I run is for my dad, and for every patient and family fighting the same battles he did.
100% of Your Donation Supports Research
Named in honor of marathon co-founder and MSK patient Fred Lebow, Fred's Team unites runners and supporters in the fight against cancer. 100% of what I raise goes directly into MSK labs, where researchers work across more than 400 cancer types to find better treatments and, eventually, cures.

Whether it's $10 or $500, your gift helps fund the research that turns diagnoses like my dad's into stories like his. Thank you for being part of it.
