In early June 2016, my healthy, strong 75 year old father was diagnosed with ANAPLASTIC THYROID CANCER - a very rare and very aggressive form of cancer, with little research and few options. In just four months, his condition declined rapidly, almost as rapidly as the cancer grew. First he lost his voice, then his ability to eat, and then his ability to breathe. We had sought out Dr. Eric Sherman at Memorial Sloan Kettering, who is leading the research in this cancer. He gave us hope ... but it just wasn't enough and my amazing father passed away on October 6, 2016. Now we want to help give hope, and someday a cure, to other families facing this nasty, nasty cancer.
I've created this page to raise funds specifically for Dr. Sherman's research of anaplastic thyroid cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and I hope you’ll consider joining the cause and making a donation. Many of the most important breakthroughs in cancer research and treatment have been brought to light at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and none of that progress would have been possible without support from people like you and me.
When the next new breakthrough is announced, I want to know that I have been a part of making it happen, and it would mean that much more to me if you would join me in the effort so that I can say that we helped make it happen. Every dollar counts, and I hope you will be as generous as you can.
Thank you!
