The Somerville and Branchburg baseball clubs have come together to honor Michael Miceli,
father of Michael and Matthew Miceli, 2017 and 2021 gradulates of Somerville High School.
The Miceli’s have been part of these baseball programs since 2004 and lost their dad to
lung cancer May 4, 2022.
The Miceli boys started their baseball careers in the Branchbrug Baseball Club, playing
rec and travel ball. Both boys continued their careers in college, Michael playing 4-years
as short stop at Moravian College in Pennsylvania and Matt is in his sophomore year
playing short stop at Stony Brook University in New York.
Michael’s diagnosis came suddenly and progressed quickly even after a fierce 6-month
battle. Unfortunately, many families face the same tragic reality every day, watching loved
ones battle this disease only to lose them.

The Miceli family is deeply touched our baseball families are honoring his memory with this fundraiser
and thank every one of you for your continued love and support! Michael is missed every
minute of every day, but he lives on in each of us as we continue to live each day to its
fullest, never taking one minute for granted.
Let’s continue to work towards KNOCKING CANCER OUT OF THE PARK
