Honoring the memory of David J. Goyette, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center will administer this fund to provide annual stipends for professional development of the MSK facilities department staff (including but not limited to craft and skilled trades, plant operations, and security). When Dave passed away in 2019, a vocational education scholarship fund was established. In each of the following 4 years, scholarships were awarded to vocational education students. With MSK administering the fund beginning in 2023, the fund will combine the original intent of supporting vocational education, with an additional cause that was important to Dave: helping to fight cancer. Just as Dave did in his career working and teaching HVAC, the stipends will make a meaningful difference to MSK facilities department staff continuing their vocational careers, which is part of creating a world-class environment for employees and patients alike. You can join in supporting MSK’s cancer research and patient care in this unique manner by contributing to this fund.
