On June 17, 2021 everything changed. While in the midst of training for USA Cycling Gran Fondo National Championship, I went to see my doctor for some abdominal pain. My primary care physician's intuition led to scans that revealed tumors in my colon and liver. I was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer. The news was shocking, with no family history of cancer, it was hard to digest.

Suddenly recovering from the road rash of a crash 10 days before was very trivial. 2 abdominal surgeries, 12 rounds of chemotherapy, and countless scans and needles later, a new normal arrived. Our family expanded from 3 to 4, we relocated from PA to MA, and all the fun and excitement of school age kids took over. I would not have made it this far without the incredible doctors, nurses, and support team at Memorial Sloan Kettering. As I go through my 4 year anniversary of diagnosis, I am asking you to join me in making a gift to support the crucial patient services that MSK provides to me, my family, and all other patients.
