Aaron Gupta
Over four years ago, Deepak was diagnosed with neuroendocrine carcinoma. He took the news of his diagnosis with great courage and perseverance, as he was supported by an expert team of doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Given his strength and positivity throughout the process, many of those close to Deepak didn’t even know about his disease. Deepak (72) passed away on February 17, 2023 at his home in Warren, NJ surrounded by his family.
Deepak Gupta was born to the late Dr. Mahesh Chand Gupta and Mrs. Sushila Gupta, in New Delhi, India on December 31st, 1950. He graduated with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi. He moved to the United States to pursue a Masters' degree at Rutgers University and excelled in a career in software engineering. Alongside his career, Deepak used his engineering chops and excitement for fixing things to expand his interests into real estate - with this hobby growing into his passion.
Deepak was blessed with a loving family and many close friends. He married Dr. Aditi Gupta in January 1979 in Delhi. They had two children together, both of whom Deepak helped instill the love of knowledge, joy of life, and strength of family. Deepak was very social as he loved having deep conversations with friends and family, enjoyed swimming and racquet sports, and was particularly fond of teen patti games.
Deepak is survived by his wife, Aditi; his sons Nickhil and Aaron; his daughter-in-laws Monisha Makhijani and Priti Yogesh Joshi; his granddaughters Natasha Anya Gupta and Maya Joshi Gupta; his brothers Dr. Sunil Gupta, Dr. Anil Gupta, and Dr. Munish Gupta.
We humbly request that expressions of sympathy be made by contributing to the following charities in his name.
