In October of 2020 Kristin was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of uterine cancer called Leiomyosarcoma. This was devastating news not only for her, but for her husband Doug, their two teenage sons Douglas and Christopher, her parents and the rest of her family, friends and co-workers.  While the cancer was removed successfully via surgery, it recurred within two years and spread to multiple areas of her body. She passed away on April 28, 2023 at the age of 57.

As of now, there is no cure for this disease.

This page is created to collect donations to research for a cure and/or more effective treatments. There are researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering, overseen by Kristin's wonderful oncologist, Dr. Martee Hensley, working to make strides in this critical area. Your donation will go directly to the Gynecological Sarcoma Fund, to be used to improve the outcomes for patients diagnosed with this disease.
