I am raising money to support cancer research and care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in honor of my close friend Robbie Almgren. Robbie passed away on December 27, 2020 from a sudden brain bleed caused by undiagnosed AML Leukemia. Robbie and I had been friends since we were very little, growing up together for much of our lives. Along with being an amazing friend, he was also a truly gifted athlete. Sports was something that always brought us and our friends together, whether be football, golf, running, baseball, lacrosse, or anything else. We spent countless hours outside together and created memories that I will never forget.
Unfortunately, cancer is an evil that has left millions of people around the world feeling the same grief and loss that struck my friends and his family over the last few years with the loss of Robbie.
I have decided that this year on October 1st, to run a half marathon in honor of my late friend. My goal is to raise $2,512, in honor of Robbie, who always wore the number 12, to support cancer care at Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center. Hopefully, I can play a role in finding a cure, so that the next time a great person like Robbie is diagnosed with cancer they are able to fight it and beat it. Thank you so much for your support.
