    Welcome to My Fundraising Page

Hello, this is Mary Elizabeth! I hope this note finds that ALL is well with 'YOU' and your family! Kindly know, as a Fierce Advocate for Women's Health, Health Care Equity, and, Cancer Survivorship, for 2024, I am choosing to fundraise on behalf of Women's Cancer Mental Health AfterCare and Women's Cancer Survivorship! Specifically, with your generous donations (ALL donations are welcome however, small or big), together, WE can support MSKCC's Women's Cancer Research, New, Innovative Women's Cancer Treatments & Women's Cancer Care - Especially, After Care Support, Including, Mental Health Evaluation, Mental Health Leading Edge Treatment, and, Supportive Mental Health Counseling, to upend, Women's Cancer Survivorship!

Moreover, I am fundraising to honor a beloved family member dying of stage 4 cancer, despite a courageous fight & five years in remission, prior; A dear colleague currently courageously battling stage 4 breast cancer for the fifth time, and, in support of the women in my cancer survivorship run club, as well as, women diagnosed with cancer everywhere! And, as a 2024 Member of MSKCC 'Fred's Team', I will be running the New York Road Runners (NYRR) Virtual TCS NYC Marathon this November 2024 as my Fundraising Activity, and, I will spiritedly cross the 2024 TCS NYC Marathon finish line on behalf of ALL Courageous Women Cancer Survivors!

In brief, my Personal Connection to MSKCC first began when I was diagnosed with Cancer as a young adult in my early 20's, and, rather than attend my Columbia University Graduation, unfortunately, I was having emergency surgery at MSKCC! Subsequently, in the years that followed, I also have had two additional surgeries at MSKCC. Happy to report, I am currently CANCER FREE and in good health, which is why I am motivated and enthusiastic to continue fundraising on behalf of MSKCC Women's Health and Women's Cancer Survivorship!

Of note, given I enjoy a long tenure in Healthcare, (well over forty years to date), I have enjoyed the gift and privilege of befriending and working with so many talented physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and, mental health practioners, who, like me, have also worked on the frontlines, and, are saddened when we take a patient's medical history only to learn, either, the patient themselves, or, their family member(s), have been profoundly affected by Cancer! Indeed, as a doctor, myself, who specializes in Women's Health, having worked with so many Courageous Cancer Survivors, I know the importance of obtaining timely medical expertise, and, receiving, ongoing, collaborative care, affording successful outcomes beyond an initial diagnosis, surgery, and, post-surgical treatments. Thus, MSKCC, with expertise in over 400 cancer types and nearly 2,000 clinical trials underway at a given time, is making a massive difference in the lives of people everywhere with cancer. And, MSKCC physician-scientists are committed to discovering new ways to prevent, detect, treat, and, cure all forms of this disease.

    Donors Fuel Progress

When 'YOU' choose to donate, 'YOU', 'GIVE', to support Women's Health at MSKCC, and, 'YOU' become part of a community that is working to develop new ways to prevent, treat, and cure cancer, from the most common to the rarest. Whether donors give to honor a family member, friend or colleague, to fuel the next medical breakthrough, or, to make the world a better place, everyone in our MSKCC community is bound together by hope, optimism, and, an unrelenting drive toward impact; values in action that I personally believe in and wholeheartedly endorse!

In close, your donation and philanthropy, accelerates innovation, allowing MSKCC physician-scientists to pursue bold ideas and tackle the biggest challenges in cancer research and cancer care. This work ultimately leads to discoveries — including new cancer drugs and other innovative treatments — that improve the lives of people with cancer at MSKCC and around the world! Please give what your heart inspires, and, whatever donation you may afford, however, small or big! And, please know i am so very appreciative of your making your donation 'in my name', on behalf of Womens' Health and Womens' Cancer Survivorship at MSKCC! In sum, 'Cancer Changes Lives', So Too, Can 'WE'!

With Immense Gratitude for Your Generous Offering,

    Mary Elizabeth xo
