To have known Christine was to have known someone truly authentic, embodying steadfast optimism, ambition, empathy and an unparalleled sense of humor. When Christine was first diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, she stayed true to herself approaching it as she would any other obstacle in her life…head on and without a shred of doubt.

She was an inspiration to us all. 

Alongside Christine’s determination and grit, was Dr. Nour Abuhadra, who matched Christine’s unwavering optimism and endurance. Together they were a dream team. To have seen Christine and Dr. Abuhadra throughout this journey was to have seen David battle Goliath… and look fabulous while doing it. As Christine fought, she taught us how to live life to the fullest in the face of adversity; how to be resilient, overcoming relentless downfalls with dignity, poise and grace.  

In the wake of Christine’s battle, Dr. Abuhadra continues to help thousands in the fight against breast cancer. The research Dr. Abuhadra is pioneering at MSK will advance new and more effective treatments for rare breast cancers, such as the one Christine had endured.
