On March 17th I will run the New York Half Marathon in honor of Juliet Grillo, an incredible person who is not only my best friend's wife but now one of my closest friends. In 2021, Juliet was diagnosed with small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma; an extremely rare and aggressive cancer. Due to the severity of the diagnosis, she opted for the removal of all of her reproductive organs, followed by 100 hours of chemotherapy and 25 rounds of radiation. On behalf of Juliet, I am raising money to support cancer research and care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). MSK is home to one of the only specialists of this kind of cancer in the country and provided Juliet with the best care possible.
Today Juliet is cancer-free and has resumed her position as clinical director at the Brooklyn Autism Center where she has dedicated her career to working with children and young-adults on the autism spectrum.
I am asking my friends, family, friends of friends and colleagues for any financial donations possible to MSK to keep fueling and funding the care needed for those like Juliet. No donation amount is too big or small as every bit counts to helping the lives.
With expertise in over 400 cancer types and nearly 2,000 clinical trials underway at a given time, MSK is making a massive difference in the lives of people everywhere with cancer. MSK physician-scientists are committed to discovering new ways to prevent, detect, treat, and cure all forms of the disease.
Donors Fuel Progress
When you give to MSK, you become part of a community that is working to develop new ways to prevent, treat, and cure cancer, from the most common to the rarest. Whether donors give to honor a friend or family member, to fuel the next breakthrough, or to make the world a better place, everyone in our community is bound together by hope, optimism, and an unrelenting drive toward impact.
Your philanthropy accelerates innovation, allowing MSK physician-scientists to pursue bold ideas and tackle the biggest challenges in cancer research and care. This work ultimately leads to discoveries — including new cancer drugs and other treatments — that improve the lives of people with cancer at MSK and around the world.
