For my birthday this year please consider making a donation to the fund I have established at MSK called Caps For A Cure.  

Caps raises funds so that Memorial Sloan Kettering can provide free, innovative, cold-capping technology to women undergoing certain chemotherapy who are unable to afford this treatment, which provides the hope that they will not lose all of their hair during their cancer journeys.  

This scalp cooling advancement is extremely expensive and not covered by most insurance companies.  Even more insulting, many insurance companies consider it a luxury.  There are no luxuries when fighting cancer.  I was fortunate enough to have access to cold capping which allowed me to have control over something that was mine, which was incredibly important and provided me with a great deal of hope. 

I want other women to experience that same dignity. Any donation, big or small, will help us continue to donate this service providing women the gift of hair and hope, which was so meaningful to me during my journey.
