Phil Rizzuto was an extraordinary man, a wonderful husband, a perfect father, and an incredible grandfather. He was an incredibly loyal friend and colleague to the men and women at NYC Dept of Sanitation. He was loved by all. 

This year is a really difficult one, and the bravery our Dad exhibited over the past decade only got stronger as he was poked and prodded during this tough time. But he never really complained. Instead, he’d tell his daughter “you know Gabs, I got my favorite nurse again, and it made my day”. Our Dad would then turn the conversation to how saddened he was to see children who were suffering, he would tear up, and shake his head, “THAT’S not fair, Gabs, you know…”
