In Memory of Neil Manttari
Dear Family and Friends,
While we are devastated over the recent loss of our Dad due to COVID-19, we couldn't be more grateful for the incredible care, innovative treatment, and amazing staff at MSKCC.
We met Dr. Shoustari and his team almost four ago when Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic melanoma. Wanting the absolute best treatment options for him, we knew that MSKCC was the place to go. We didn't know however, that we would not only find excellent treatment, but also outstanding personal and professional care from every single person we interatcted with from the first phone call we made, through every interaction that followed to this very day. After two years of immunotherapy treatments, Dad was declared NED (no evidence of disease); that was a result we had only dreamed of. Thanks to the cutting edge research and talented and dedicated medical professionals, Dad was reaping the benfits of new and advanced therapies and able to continue living his best life. Many of you witnessed this on the golf course, at the Yacht Club or out fishing alongside him. He joined us in the Bahamas and got the celebrate many milestones with his grandchildren.
As part of his treatment at MSKCC, Dad partcipated in a research clinical trial, sharing his genetic mutations with the scientists, to contribute to the continued advancements on this journey. As a result, this reserach will pay it forward and hopefully assist in getting future patients to continue to live their best lives and have the same amazing results.
When you give to MSKCC, you're making a direct impact: from innovative research that can move newly discovered drugs into clinical trials, to the cancer treatment and care patients receive every day.
Fundraising efforts can lead to important and life-changing breakthroughs in cancer research—making it possible for scientists to overcome the hurdles of funding gaps. Philanthropy provides the tools they need to swiftly pursue promising research initiatives.
Your gift will directly support Dr. Shoustari's team and the best and brightest researchers in their work to outsmart cancer. These innovative thinkers are focused on fighting every form of the disease. The close collaboration between MSK's doctors and researchers is unique and one of its greatest strengths—ensuring that drugs and therapies developed in the lab can be moved quickly to the clinic.
Together, we can join the leaders in cancer research by funding a future with better outcomes for people with cancer and their families—not just at MSK, but around the world.
Every dollar brings more hope. Thank you!
With Love and Gratitude,
Jenny, Karen, Bobby & Claire
