Aden Solomon
I'm running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon alongside my dad (65) and my younger brother (21, who is graduating college this year). The three of us are running with Fred’s Team to fund critical cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Cancer hits close to home for our family. My dad is a melanoma survivor, my aunt survived stage 2 breast cancer, my grandmother is a breast cancer survivor and my grandfather has bladder cancer. My brother and I want to help build a legacy that makes our generation the one to end cancer, so no other family has to endure the sleepless nights and constant fear of losing someone they love.
This race is also personal to me for another reason. At 10 years old, I was diagnosed with pediatric asthma and spent years visiting specialists at Mt. Sinai. Ever since, I've made it my mission to challenge what’s possible with asthma: summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro at 16, becoming a Red Cross–certified lifeguard at 18, and completing my first marathon in San Francisco at 22. Now, at 23, I’m ready to take on the NYC Marathon with my family by my side.
Since 1995, Fred’s Team has raised vital funds for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Every dollar goes directly into MSK’s labs, where scientists are working on treatments and cures for over 400 types of cancer, especially pediatric cancers for the kids who need it most.
Any amount helps, and every gift directly supports life-saving research. Thank you so much for your support!
Warmly,
Aden
