Lisa Blue
Welcome to my fundraising page! March 18th, 2026 marked my 5 year anniversary of my bilateral mastectomy and I'm excited to celebrate by raising awareness, raising money and representing Fred's Team by running in Berlin this coming September! I completed my first two NYC marathons, post cancer in 2022 and 2023.
Cancer is personal and runs very deep in my family and amongst my friends. Including myself, there are 4 of us friends, that were diagnosed with breast cancer in the past 10 years, before the age of 50. My niece just last year, was diagnosed and treated for Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. Cancer continues, year after year, to hit close to home with one diagnosis after another, so I am so very proud to represent Fred's Team again.
People ask me, why do I keep running, I mean, I really don't have to? The thing is, that first NYC Marathon, post cancer, showed me that I can do really hard things. It helped me, not only physically, but mentally process all that I had went through and continue to be worried about. For those that have trained for anything, it can be an exhausting process and really hard to fit in but prioritizing healthy habits became even more important after my cancer diagnosis so here I am, running up and down Ocean Avenue again...a lot!
I thank you for your generosity. Every little bit counts and no donation is too small and 100% of Your Donation Supports Research. Together, we can make a big difference.
